Supplies You Will Need
At Columbia 23 Mine, our mission is to provide safe, efficient, and sustainable mining experience that benefit our clients, employees, and community. We strive to minimize our environmental impact while maximizing our positive contributions. We have no onsite plumbing or trash services so please follow pack it in, pack it out camping standards. Below is a list of what you will need to bring with you to the claim. If you do not have something on the list and need us to supply it let us know prior to coming out we have limited supplies we can loan you.
Must Bring
- 1 Gallon minimum of drinking water (there is no running water on site)
- Work gloves
- Eye protection
- Closed toe shoes (steel toe recommended)
- 5 Gallon bucket or equivalent substitute
- Rock pick

Dispersed, primitive camping is camping where there are no developed amenities such as water or toilets.
Rules for BLM dispersed camping in Nevada:
- You may not occupy one site for more than 14 days out of a 28 day period.
- No dumping black or gray water on public lands.
- Follow Leave No Trace guidelines.
- Check for current fire restrictions before heading out.
Near By Services
As stated previously we do not have running water, food, sewer or trash services on site. There is a large truck stop located 10 minutes away from the mine with restrooms and plenty of food and drink options and the world famous Pioneer Saloon just 5 minutes away!
